Thursday: science with Tony at the museum. This month's theme is "unusual plants" which will end with a viewing of "Little Shop of Horrors" at the Penobscot Theatre. Tony discussed the uses of cacti and allowed the children to partake of cactus fruit.  read more »

K attended a class at Challenger Learning Center in Bangor today from 9-10:30. The topic was "stars." K learned about the life cycle of a star, and how people long ago created myths to explain the mysteries of space, as well as the locations of several constellations. She participated in several crafts, including the creation of her own constellation (a unicorn) with an accompanying myth.  read more »
