Silly Superintendent...

As taxpayers, we get a regular newsletter thingie from "our" school district.  I sometimes glance through...  This morning, I was reading the opening of the booklet, written by the superintendent.  It starts with a quote:

"High expectations are the key to everything." ~ Sam Walton

When we have to start reporting for homeschooling (this fall, if we still live here!), we have to report to the superintendent...this quote concerns me even more.  Geez...what a rotten quote.

Hmmm

So he'll expect the world of students, then stiff them on necessities like recess or self-esteem?  Or maybe sell shares, cut teachers, double classroom sizes and stop offering lunch?

...and...

...make sure that the few teachers teach to the test, so that our district continues to have high scores.
