Toy Testers

7 Mar 2008

The boys are toy testers for Fisher-Price (I'm not buying F-P toys anymore, but they can play with the stuff and give input!), and N & S had tests yesterday. They got to test out the new Planet Heroes stuff (they had older stuff to use with the new stuff), and since they are obsessed with Planet Heroes right now, they LOVED it. The woman running the "test" started out by trying to explain who the PH were and whatnot...meanwhile, all three kids RAN past her to get to the new stuff. They started to tell her all of the guys' names and what they did and what planet they are from and which accessories were theirs, and what that guy did on the movie...it went on and on. The woman was like, "I guess you know the Planet Heroes, then?", and all 3 boys said, "yup". I could hear the guys behind the mirror (they watch the kids use the toys and see if any improvements should be made or whatever) actually laughing. The kids had a wonderful time, and didn't want to leave. G tried to take an armful of guys with him. As they left, N & S got to pick out a toy (they usually get to choose between cash or a toy...and they usually take the cash and we go to the store...but it was only toys this time). N didn't see a toy that he liked and tried to talk the lady into some cash...he negotiated a different toy that she got from the back. :)

Then, we also picked up a toy that we get to test at home for two weeks yesterday. It's actually a product that S was in a photo shoot for a few months ago. (S might be on packaging or advertising or something for it). A very fun day full of new toys to play with. They are still checking out the toys that they picked out to keep.

they LOVE it!

The boys have fun while they're there, and then they get to take home a toy or pick money...then we usually go to the F-P toy store (next door), and they'll buy a toy on their own. These are the only F-P toys we're buying anymore...the ones that the boys buy for themselves. They absolutely LOVE getting money and buying something on their own!

We live nearby the home base for Fisher-Price, in case you're wondering...
