Live together, as well as you can; enjoy life together, as much as you can. Ask questions to find out something about the world itself, not to find out whether or not someone knows it.

Karen drove Kellie yet again today due to me having a migraine of the worst kind. Kellie is taking part in drama classes through our chapter of 4H. She is still dealing with Mean Little Girl Syndrome and comes home thoroughly rattled about being in the presence of one so unkind. I'm trying to think of it as a learning experience that is necessary, this dealing with a rotten person. If ever I can get there, I fully intend to intercede with this child and stop the nonsense. The kid is the reason we quit a couple of years ago.
She loves drama. She will be participating in a end-of-year play in the role of "princess." What else? Her friend (not the mean girl but another semi-unpleasant child) will be the Evil Queen. What else? She is to study and memorize her lines and brought home two copies of the script so she and a parent can run lines.
That's too bad...
...that there are people who aren't very nice at that group. It IS a life experience, and I know that it's hard to see as a parent.
Have fun running lines... :)
